SLOW DOWN, GO WITH THE FLOW AND SIMPLIFY.
FOR YOUR LIFE, YOUR BUSINESS, YOUR RELATIONSHIPS—YOUR EXERCISE AND EATING STYLE.
I used to think that unless things challenged me enough, they wouldn't be effective and that I had to keep trying. At everything. Then I had to slow down. I had to cut back. I had to simplify. I had to let go. And I discovered how wonderful that is. And how exhausting the other version is—to keep forcing and pushing.
Five years ago, I made some changes to my diet, eliminating gluten and dairy—my body wanted it that way. Of course, I took it into account. And it wasn’t just a dietary change. In the long run, it made me feel like I had leveled up both spiritually and mentally. Just like when I quit processed sugar 11 years ago. GIVING MY BODY BETTER THINGS THAT IT REALLY DESERVES. I would have never known if I hadn’t tried. Then I reduced the number of meals I had, and I simplified them. My body didn’t really want to eat all the time. I just listened to what it wanted. I listened to it. I observed how it felt better, how happier it was. And this simplification was great for both it and me.
Confusion and burden reduced.
Then I changed my exercise style. I designed a style that I could do more slowly, calmly, and regularly—that's what my body wanted. It was incredibly effective. I achieved lasting and effective results that I hadn't been able to achieve before, even with the hard workouts I had done.
I liked this act of slowing down and simplifying so much that I started applying it to my entire life. I let go of everything that didn’t serve me, that didn’t make me happy, that I was constantly pushing away with a never-ending effort. People, thoughts, actions, things… They’re all so similar, actually. The more you reduce, the more you realize how beautiful simplicity is, the less and more concise but the more it really speaks to you. The flourish that comes out of simplicity—increasing while reducing is exactly that.
So it is not true, as we are always told, that we need to want more, that we need to constantly push things, circumstances and ourselves to get more effective results, that we need to constantly try new things and change what we are practicing in order to improve.
You don't need more. You don't need trends. You don't need newer. You don't need to force it to be effective. You don't need to push it. You know what you need? You need to do the same things consistently. ( I've been doing the same exercises for about 3 years. My body is more toned and tight than ever. It keeps getting better and better. You need to reduce. You need to simplify. You need to find what is meaningful to you and what your body and soul are longing for. You need to let go—anything that doesn’t serve you. You need to slow down if you need to, even stop for a while and then move back into your natural flow. You need to allow the flow.
And when you do, you'll find that the lasting, long-term, and most effective things come not by forcing—but by doing the same things consistently, patiently, and calmly.
Let go of everything today and ask yourself the following questions.
QUESTION YOUR-SELF
Are there things that I have to force and push to get results?
Are there things in my life that no longer serve me and that I need to let go of (thoughts, actions, people, habits, food)?
What can I reduce? In which areas can I choose to simplify?
What can I do with consistency—to get what results?
KINDLY REMINDER
To brighten while simplifying. To increase while decreasing. And magnificence in stillness. This is what you need.
